Coastal Recipes

Coastal cooking is a tradition of making something generous out of what the boat brought in — chowders, seafood stews, fish tacos, shrimp rolls. This collection collects those classics as complete, tested-proportion recipes: real ingredient lists, honest timing, and technique notes that explain why each step exists instead of just ordering you through it. We write these recipes for cooks far from any coast, too. Where canned clams, frozen fillets, or supermarket substitutions genuinely work, we say so and explain the tradeoff; where a shortcut would gut the dish, we're equally direct. The measure of every recipe here is simple: it has to be worth making on a weeknight, not just reading about.
